‘Unique and Lovingly Preserved’
No, I'm not talking about Susie. I'm talking about Bartlesville. I was pleased to see that the National Trust for Historic Preservation – citing (among other things) Frank Phillips’ 3,700-acre wildlife preserve and Frank Lloyd Wright’s only skyscraper (pictured here) – yesterday named Susie’s and my hometown to its 2006 list of America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations, “an annual list of unique and lovingly preserved communities in the United States.”
