Did you know that a little town in Oklahoma was once the nation's hotbed for amateur basketball?
Dave Sittler reports in the Tulsa World that several members of the original Dream Team, the Phillips 66ers, are gathering in Bartlesville this weekend for a reunion. "Back when NBA players weren't allowed, [Bob] Kurland and [Burdie] Haldorson were winning Olympic gold medals for the USA" before Michael Jordan and Larry Bird were even born.
