Gambling Has Harmful Consequences? Who Could Have Ever Predicted That?

Bret Burns, district attorney for Grady, Stephens, Jefferson and Caddo counties, is quoted in an Associated Press story as saying, "We’re seeing a tremendous increase in the number of embezzlements and 95 percent of it has to do with gambling casinos."

Burns was appointed last year as district attorney by (ironically enough) Gov. Brad Henry.
