What a Trip
On Monday night Cleveland Indians second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera turned an unassisted triple play, only the 14th in the hundred-plus-year history of Major League Baseball.
On Tuesday night Edmond tee-baller Jack Henry Dutcher, playing outfield for the Royals, also turned an unassisted triple play. A solid rip from an opposing bat came whistling out to left-centerfield, whereupon Jack Henry caught it cleanly, ran to the infield to tag a runner advancing to second, then stepped on second to retire the runner who had gone to third. Game over.
Way to go, little man.
