Land: Presidential Race Will Be a Squeaker

Dr. Richard Land is the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, the public policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention. He was in Oklahoma today, "the most Baptist state in the country," where fully "one of every three Oklahoma residents is a baptized member of a Southern Baptist church," he said. In a conversation this afternoon with a group of conservative leaders, Dr. Land (seated at left, wearing a Heritage Foundation tie) said he believes the presidential race is much closer than the mainstream media would have you believe, mainly because the Bradley effect is real. He thinks the race is too close to call.
