Field Trip

We spent this past weekend cleaning out the garage and the attic, so we made up for a weekend of working by taking a field trip on Monday to the Oklahoma History Museum. A field trip and a visit from Grandpa is a pretty good way to start the school week.

Jack Henry and Mary Margaret

It was homeschool day at the Oklahoma History Museum and they had a scavenger hunt for all the students. We spent lots of time in the exhibits finding answers to a list of questions.

Oliver hanging out with Grandpa

The museum is filled with all things Oklahoma. One of the questions on the scavenger hunt was about Tom Mix, an early star in Western movies. Interestingly, Tom Mix had been hired by Jack Henry's great, great-grandfather to be the sheriff of Dewey, and had been hired by Jack Henry's other great, great-grandfather to work at the Dewey Portland Cement Company

I love the pink kitchen display.

A trip to the Bricktown Sonic after the museum

We spend lots of time doing this -- staring at Oliver and marveling at how wonderful he is.

We ended the day watching Jack Henry play football.

Oliver loves sitting outside at the football fields.

And I love this too-good-to-be-true face.
