Crested Butte, Day Four: Hiking to the Peak

Here we go, up the mountain.
We need lots of water breaks . . .
and help along the way.
Oliver made it a long way up, but the way to the peak was too long and hard so dad and Oliver headed down to catch the lift and play some putt-putt.
The rest of us got ready to climb to the peak.
This was our goal -- the peak of Mt. Crested Butte (of course we weren't starting at the bottom).
Everyone who makes it to the top signs their name.
At the peak
Ready to hike back down.
The hike down was much easier.
It was a great day of hiking.
And a fun night getting ice cream in town.
Mountain climbing is hard work!
