Coburn: Look Above

Today at noon I went to hear U.S. Senator Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) speak to the downtown Rotary Club of Oklahoma City. Discussing our struggle against terrorists who want to do us in, Dr. Coburn said that, while there's no shortage of politicians and policy experts giving us advice, there are very few leaders calling on us to seek the one in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom. He said American history teaches us that we never solve our greatest problems by looking within, but only by looking above.

When you're in a bind, when you don't see a way out, when there's no obvious solution, you should seek God in prayer, he said.
